Thank You For Being Part of VACI2015!

The Int. Symposium and Exhibition of Vietnam Water Cooperation Initiative 2015 (VACI 2015), held on 19th-20th October 2015, saw US$ 500 million in total value for the announcements on planned water projects, tenders, investment and MOUs. Following the success of VACI 2014, especially for responding to celebrate the call of World Water Day 22^nd Mar – “Water and Sustainable Development”, VACI 2015 featured “Water security in a changing era”. The event attracted some 1,000 participants from 20 countries spanning the governmental, international organizations, universities, research institutes and companies for discussion, exchange and sharing of ensuring water security in an era with changes in climate and politics.

VACI2015 starting with a special show of Vietnam traditional music - Exploring the culture and people of Vietnam 

Vietnam Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Hoang Trung Hai, graced the Opening Ceremony on 19th October 2015	Vice Minister (Water), Dr. Nguyen Thai Lai, sharing pressing issues & call for media cooperations
Representative of the Netherland Embassy gave opening remark and shared insights on water cooperation	Distinguished speaker from Finland giving ’s presentation on climate change
Delegates shared over million dollars' worth of investment projects for future water solutiions	Water experts shared experience in water resources monitoring and forecasting
An engaging session at exhibition as they engaged different problems and solutions to ensure water security to cope with changing climate and politics	Experts throughout the world gathering to share and co-create new water solutions
International Training Course on “Water Resource Planning: Processes & Practices”	Congratulation to the best presentation winner on their research exhibition

More than 100 posters and presentations on various topics regarding water security were featured at the VACI 2015.	Honored sponsors and partners who contributed to the success of VACI 2015
A number of high-level bilateral meetings were arranged to poster partnership	Various side-events (i.e. water photo exhibition, water saving commit, etc.) to engage public and raise their awareness on the value of water.

Water experts from 20 countries gathered at VACI 2015 and shared the latest technologies in the water sector and identified solutions to global water issues

The media coverage on current water issues has played a very important role in delivering and gaining public attention and support for addressing water and environment - related problems and challenges The VACI 2014 has attracted many mass media agencies’ attention in Vietnam and all over the world. Its program was originally broadcast on VTV1 channel – the national television broadcaster of Vietnam at 7pm, 19th October 2015.
